England swept aside the USA 45-7 in convincingly display on Thursday night at the Kobe Misaki Stadium. With Eddie Jones making multiple changes for this fixture, the game took a bit of time to get going but once his team kicked into a rhythm they dominated all phases. — Rugby World Cup (@rugbyworldcup) September 26, 2019
AJ MacGinty (USA)
Although the USA were pretty poor all around, the No. 10 can really keep his head up high after his performance. He was extremely busy throughout the game and tried to make something out of nothing whenever he could find a little space.
The flyhalf had 82% tackle success rate (14/17 tackles), he beat six defenders on attack and managed three offloads.
Anthony Watson (England)
Watson came on as a substitute and had 22 impressive minutes on the field. The English flyer made 50 metres during his quarter stint and beat seven defenders, made two clean breaks and even got a turnover.
George Ford (England)
He was the conductor on the field and that effectively got him the Man of the Match award. The No. 10 scored 15 points on the day and had 11 kicks out of hand. Ford made 23 metres in the match, beat five defenders and he also made 100% of his tackles.
Tony Lamborn (USA)
The 28-year-old looseforwad made a whooping 16 tackles in the match, managed to gather two turnovers and carried the ball up twice.
Joe Cokanasiga (England)
The big winger scored two tries in the match, but he did a lot of work around the rucks and mauls. The 21-year-old beat four defenders, made two clean breaks and then also managed to make 90 metres in the match.
