Top Performers: Saracens vs Bristol Bears

Saracens cruised to a 47-13 victory over Bristol Bears with Max Malins and Nick Tompkins scoring two tries apiece.

The Bears led heading into the closing stages of the first half, but Malins’ try right on half-time shifted the momentum of the game entirely.

From there, Saracens ran in five unanswered second-half scores, clinching a bonus point in the process as they made it five wins in a row in Gallagher Premiership Rugby.

Max Malins - Saracens


The 22-year-old  fullback put in a man of the match performance today and you will see why once you see his numbers. Starting with defence, Malins made 89% of his tackles today and won a crucial turnover in the first half. On attack is where the No. 15 really excelled, he made 78 metres with ball in hand, made 11 carries, beat five defenders and had two clean breaks. 

Ben Earl - Saracens


The openside flanker put in huge shift and was arguably the second best player on the park this evening. Earl made 52 metres with ball in hand, beat five defenders, had two clean breaks and scored a lovely try. On defence, the 21-year-old made 13 tackles and won two turnovers for his team. 

Brad Barritt - Saracens

It was the English international’s 251st game for his club today and he sure put in a big shift against a stubborn Bristol side. The centre made all of his tackles today and won two turnovers for his side. Barritt had one clean break, also setup and scored a try of his own. 

Nick Tompkins - Saracens

Tompkins provided his captain with great support today and also go himself on the scoresheet thanks to Barritt. Tompkins made 80% of his tackles, beat three defenders and then also had two clean breaks.
