Leinster's new Kiwi back James Lowe has arrived in Dublin and is in line to make his Guinness PRO14 debut next Friday agains the Dragons at the RDS.

The 25-year-old former Chiefs & Tasman Makos wing/fullback has linked up with the Leinster squad at their UCD training base this week.

Lowe has signed a three-year deal with the Irish province and enjoyed a breakthrough season in Super Rugby with the Waikato-based franchise, scoring 11 tries in 16 games.

“It’s been great so far, the weather has been good so it’s been a good time,” Lowe said upon his arrival. “Everyone is very helpful here so it’s made the transition a lot easier.

“It’s been lovely, the sun has been out. I thought everyone was lying to me about the weather over here but it’s been great, and as I said everyone has been very friendly. We had a few meetings today and the rugby IQ here is obviously very high and I’m excited to be here.”
