WATCH: The Video Of Ospreys Hooker Bitten By Lion

The Wales international Scott Baldwin missed the Ospreys’ 44-25 Guinness Pro14 defeat to the Cheetahs after being bitten by a lion in Bloemfontein.

The incident happened during a team trip to Weltevrede Game Lodge on the outskirts of the city.

Baldwin was a late withdrawal from the game today and his injury was initially described as a 'hand problem' but whispers around the stadium began to suggest this was not your typical hand complaint.

Ospreys head coach Steve Tandy weighed in heavily on the ordeal:

"I don't know what sort of wildlife show Scott has been watching where you can pat a lion on the head as if it's a kitten''

"It's probably one of the silliest things I've even been involved in, but thankfully he is OK and hopefully he will be back up and running in the next couple of weeks."
