Botitu made his debut for Fiji on the World Rugby Sevens Series during the 2018 Dubai Sevens Tournament. Playing as an inside centre, he played a pivotal role in the Fiji national under-20 rugby union team's victory in the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Championship.
