Sosefo Kautai is a New Zealand rugby union player who made his debut for Waikato in the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup competition, which is the top level rugby union competition in New Zealand. Kautai primarily plays as a tight-head prop.

Since his debut, Kautai has played for several other rugby teams, including the Chiefs in Super Rugby and the Bay of Plenty Steamers in the Mitre 10 Cup.
He played for the New Zealand Under-20 team at the 2015 World Rugby Under 20 Championship, where they finished in third place overall.
He made his Mitre 10 Cup debut for Waikato in 2016, following an impressive campaign with the New Zealand Under 20s side.

The young prop impressed for Waikato in the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup season and will be looking to make a name for himself in his debut Super Rugby season in 2017.

Representing your country at any level is a great achievement for a rugby player, and playing for the Under-20 team is often seen as a stepping stone to a career in professional rugby. It's clear that Kautai has been a promising talent in the sportThe youngster has been tipped as one of the best scrummagers in his age group in New Zealand.

Kautai made his Super Rugby debut against the Stormers in Cape Town and made another 3 appearances for the Chiefs, before he signed a two-year extension with the Chiefs.
