Nama Xaba, born on 26 July 1997 in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is a talented South African rugby union player. He currently plays as a flanker for the Stormers in Super Rugby and represents Western Province in the Currie Cup and the Rugby Challenge. Standing at 1.85 meters (6 feet 1 inch) tall and weighing 103 kilograms (227 pounds), Xaba possesses the physical attributes and skills necessary for his position.

Xaba's rugby journey began after his schooling in Durban, where he attended Glenwood High School. During his time there, he showcased his leadership skills by serving as the head prefect and rugby captain of the school's 1st team in 2015. He also represented KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) at various levels, including Under-12 inter-provincial, Under-13 Craven Week, Under-16 Grant Khomo Week, and the Kearsney College Easter Festival in 2015. Notably, he captained the KZN Grant Khomo team and vice-captained the KZN Craven Week team in 2015.

Xaba's rugby talents and potential were further recognized when he attended the Western Province Rugby Institute after school. He went on to captain the Western Province U19 team in 2016 and represented the Junior Springboks in 2017, demonstrating his ability to perform at a high level.

In 2019, Xaba made his Currie Cup debut for Western Province, coming on as a replacement in their match against the Pumas. This marked the beginning of his senior career, and he continued to make strides in his rugby development. In 2020, he earned his first cap for the Stormers in Super Rugby, further solidifying his place in the professional rugby arena.

Xaba's performances on the field have positioned him as a promising talent and a potential long-term replacement for influential player Siya Kolisi in Cape Town. His contributions to Western Province and the Stormers have been notable, and he has accumulated 24 appearances for Western Province and 13 appearances for the Stormers as of the latest available information in July 2022.

In recognition of his potential and abilities, Xaba signed a three-year contract extension with the Stormers in April 2021, indicating the confidence placed in him by the team.
