Willie Engelbrecht, born on 24 July 1992, is a South African rugby union player who currently represents the Pumas in the Currie Cup and Rugby Challenge. His primary position is flanker, where he demonstrates his skill and tenacity on the field.

Engelbrecht's rugby journey started at Hoërskool Die Wilgers in Pretoria, where he honed his skills and passion for the game. He then moved on to represent UJ (University of Johannesburg) in the Varsity Cup, further showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.

In 2018, Engelbrecht joined the Lions squad as a loan player for the Super Rugby season. Although he was part of the team, he did not have the opportunity to play any matches that season and subsequently returned to the Pumas, continuing his professional career with the team.
