Matt Moulds

15th May 1991 1.88m/108kg Hooker

A fresh face to the sevens scene in 2014, Matt Moulds has impressed critics with his tireless workrate and ball handling skills.

Playing prop for the All Blacks sevens side, the youngster has managed to pick up a few tries despite featuring so far from the bench. Moulds also has represented his province Northland in the ITM cup.

The Northland hooker and captain, who had an injury-hit time at the Blues, enjoyed an impressive 2017 season playing in the first 10 games, before injury ended his season.

The former NZ Sevens player, who learned trade behind Keven Mealamu and James Parsons, had a splendid Mitre 10 Cup to lead Northland to their most successful season in years.

Moulds made 10 appearances for the Blues during the 2018 Super Rugby season and entered the 2019 season with 23 caps.

In April 2019, he signed a deal with Premiership club Worcester Warriors.

A knee injury delayed Moulds' Warriors debut which came as a replacement in the European Challenge Cup in Castres in November 2019.

His Premiership debut came the following week - also off the bench - against Sale Sharks at Sixways with his first start coming against Dragons in the European Challenge Cup in December 2019.

Moulds captained Warriors for the first time in the Premiership match against Gloucester at Kingsholm in December 2019.

As of May 2020, he has made 12 appearances for Warriors.
