Danilo Fischetti, born on January 26, 1998, is an Italian professional rugby union player who predominantly plays as a prop for London Irish in the English Premiership.

Fischetti began his professional career with Calvisano and was named as a Permit Player for Zebre in the Pro14 during the 2018-19 season. From 2019 to 2022, he played for Zebre in the same league, showcasing his talent and potential.

At the youth level, Fischetti was selected for the Italy Under 20 squad in 2017 and 2018, representing his country in international competitions. His performances caught the attention of the national team selectors, leading to his inclusion in the senior Italy squad from 2019 onwards.

Fischetti made his test debut for Italy against Wales during the 2020 Six Nations Championship, marking an important milestone in his international career. He continued to be named in the Italy squad, demonstrating his consistency and contributions to the national team.

Although he did not make the final squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Fischetti was drafted into the training squad and earned a late call-up as injury cover. Unfortunately, his debut against the All Blacks was canceled due to typhoon-related circumstances.

Fischetti's performances and potential were recognized once again when he was recalled for the 2020 Six Nations squad, highlighting his continued development and value to the Italian national team. His experience at both the club and international levels has contributed to his growth as a prop and established him as a promising player in Italian rugby.

Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Fischetti has been named in the squad for Italy.
