Eifion Lewis-Roberts

13th Feb 1981 1.86m/132kg Loosehead Prop

Born in St.Asaph, Wales, the giant prop weighs in at 132 kilos and packs quite a punch at the set-piece. Lewis-Roberts, one of the heaviest players to frace the paddock, began his career at Sale back in 2005 where he spent 6 seasons before linking up with former coach Phillipe Saint-Andre at Toulon in the French Top 14.

A solitary season later, the Welshman returned to Sale in a deal which saw Andrew Sheridan go in the opposite direction. Lewis-Roberts has also represented Wales having made his debut in the Autumn Internationals of 2008.

A veteran of over 200 games, Eifion has been one of the leading Front Row Forwards in the Northern Hemisphere since making his debut against Newcastle Falcons.

His consistent displays playing for Sharks did not go unrecognised and he won a Welsh International Cap against Canada in 2008. He also spent twelve months playing for Toulon under Philippe Saint Andre in 2012-2103 before returning to Sharks.

Sadly, a knee injury he picked up against Bristol in October 2016 forced him to call time on his playing career.
