Joe Cokanasiga, born on November 15, 1997, is a professional rugby union player representing both the England national rugby union team and Bath Rugby.

Primarily playing as a wing, Cokanasiga has showcased his exceptional talents on the field and has become known for his powerful running and finishing abilities.

Although born in Fiji, Cokanasiga moved to England with his father, who served in the British Army, before he turned three years old. Growing up, he had the opportunity to live in various countries due to his father's deployments, which helped him develop his rugby skills.

Cokanasiga's rugby journey began when he played his first adult match on his 17th birthday for Old Merchant Taylors' FC. Despite playing only a part of the season, he became the top try-scorer for the club. Subsequently, he joined the London Irish academy in 2015, where he made an impact in the Premiership Rugby Sevens Series.

Cokanasiga made his senior debut for London Irish in the RFU Championship in October 2016, impressing with a brilliant individual try that showcased his raw power and speed. In 2018, he signed with Bath Rugby on a three-year deal, marking a new chapter in his professional career.

The same year, he made his international debut for England, scoring against Japan. Since then, he has continued to make a significant impact for the national team, scoring 11 tries in his first 11 caps.

Unfortunately, Cokanasiga has faced setbacks due to injuries following the 2019 Rugby World Cup. However, he made a triumphant return to the field in February 2022, scoring two tries against Newcastle Falcons to help Bath Rugby secure their first bonus-point and away win of the 2021/22 season.

Known for his strong ball-carrying abilities and powerful running, Cokanasiga's performances have earned him accolades, including being named Player of the Match in a victory over Italy in March 2019.

His impressive contributions have led to a long-term deal with Bath Rugby, reaffirming his commitment to the club. With his skill set and scoring prowess, Joe Cokanasiga continues to make a significant impact both at the domestic and international level, showcasing his talents as a formidable winger.
