Over the years, he showcased his talent and earned a reputation as an exceptional winger.

In 2017, May made a move to Leicester Tigers but returned to Gloucester in July 2020. During his time at Leicester, he enjoyed a successful start, scoring nine tries in his first eight appearances and earning the club's player of the month award.

It was during this time that he played alongside future Wales and Lions wing Alex Cuthbert.

Throughout his career, May has received numerous accolades, including being named Gloucester's Young Player of the Year for the 2011/2012 season and winning the LV= Breakthrough Player Award.

In February 2021, he became England's second highest try scorer, surpassing the likes of Will Greenwood and Ben Cohen, further solidifying his status as a prolific try scorer.
