Mark Flanagan

Flanagan attended St. Finian's College in Westmeath before entering the Leinster academy set-up. The 6ft7 lock represented Ireland at U18, U19 and U20 levels, playing in the 2009/10 U20’s World Championship campaign as well as the 2008/09 U20’s Six Nations.

The cousin of Irish international Devin Toner, Flanagan began his professional rugby career at Leinster, coming through the club’s academy before making 9 senior appearances for the Irish province.

He swiched to Mont-de-Marsan in the French PRO D2 and was a stand-out for Bedford Blues in the English Championship before joining Saracens last season, making 11 appearances for them in the Aviva Premiership.

In September 2017, Flanagan signed for Munster on a three-month loan deal from Saracens.

In May 2018, Flanagan returned to Bedford Blues for their 2018/19 Championship campaign.
