Ed Jenkins

26th May 1986 1.85m/95kg Openside Flanker

The most experienced campaigner in the current Australian Sevens squad, Captain Ed Jenkins has competed in two Rugby World Cup Sevens campaigns and won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Jenkins made his debut in the shortened form of the game in Wellington at the back end of 2007 but succumbed to injury and didn’t play again until the following season.

A member of Australia's Cup winning sides in London (2010) and Tokyo (2012), Jenkins missed most of the 2012-13 season after receiving an injury during the opening round on the Gold Coast.

July 2016 saw the Australian Men's Sevens captain sign a new two-year contract with the program until 2018, before electing to step down as the team's captain in October 2016.
