Florin Surugiu

10th Dec 1984 1.69m/71kg Scrum Half

Surugiu has been in Romania since the start of his career, representing Steaua Bucuresti and CSM Bucuresti before joining his current club, Bucuresti Wolves in 2013. The nippy scrum-half made his Test bow in 2008 and went on to represent Romania at the 2011 Rugby World Cup, starting in two of their four pool matches. The Romanian stalwart's quick ball distribution from the base of the ruck is invaluable to the Romanian squad.

In 2015 he was selected to represent Romania at the rugby world cup, with his performance cementing his place in the squad for the 2017 Rugby Europe Championship.

Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Surugiu has been named in the squad for Romania.
