Born in Sidcup, England, Hanks is an industrious second row by trade. His professional career began at the age of 21 when he signed with Exeter Chiefs in 2005. Hanks remains at the Chiefs and is a vital member of the setup at Exeter. The former Dulwich College student earned the accolade of Players Player of the Year for the 2010-2011 season.
