Lee Allan

13th Sep 1991 1.90m/103kg Openside Flanker

Allan made his name playing for Otago in New Zealand's domestic competitions and was a regular in the Dunedin based side's number 7 jersey during the 2013 ITM Cup campaign.

This saw him named in the Highlanders wider training squad for the 2014 Super Rugby season.

He made his Super Rugby debut on 27 June 2014 as a second-half substitute in a 29-25 victory over the Chiefs.

Allan, who attended South Otago High School, played 34 games for Otago as a loose forward after making his debut in 2012. He played two games for the Highlanders in 2014 and was a squad member of the title-winning Highlanders side in 2015 although he did not play a game.

In August 2017, former Otago loose forward Lee Allan made a swift move from the playing field to the coaching box.

Allan (26) was forced to hang up his boots at the end of last season after several concussions but will join the Mitre 10 team as a defence coach.
