Nairn Moncrieff spent his early playing days representing Galashiels Academy and Gala Rugby. He has also represented Stewart’s Melville and Edinburgh ‘A’. Moncrieff featured for Scotland U18 in the 2024 U18 Six Nations festival. In December 2024, he played for Emerging Scotland in the fixture against Italy U23. A member of the Edinburgh Rugby pro-academy, Moncrieff is the son of Scotland winger Mark Moncrieff, who received a retrospective cap in 2024 and became cap number 1189.
