Injury update: George North

Wing George North may miss Wales’ Six Nations opener against Scotland after sustaining a knee injury in the English Premiership last weekend.

The injury will likely require four weeks of rehabilitation, putting North in doubt for the match against Scotland on 3 February. Full story

Nick Civetta to appear before an independent disciplinary panel

Nick Civetta of Doncaster Knights will have his case dealt with by an independent disciplinary panel on 4 January 2018.

Civetta is charged with dangerous charging, contrary to laws 10.4(g) or in the alternative, charging into a ruck or maul, contrary to law 10.4(h). Read more

England U20s name their 32-man Elite Player Squad for the 2017/18 season

The squad, which will compete in the 2018 Six Nations as well as the World Rugby U20 Championship in May, will be led by Steve Bates and fellow coaches Anthony Allen, Richard Blaze and James Ponton.

Of the 32 players, 14 have already been capped at U20 level with several a part of last season’s Grand Slam winning side.
