Nick De Luca

1st Feb 1984 1.83m/93kg Outside Centre

The versatile Nick De Luca has been an integral part of Scotland’s squads since his international debut in 2008.

De Luca’s ascendance into Scotland’s squad was testament to his sterling form with Edinburgh and the now defunct Border Reivers. After The Reivers’ disbandment, De Luca re-joined Edinburgh and instantly impressed.

Indeed, in his debut season, De Luca gained much press attention after his magnificent virtuoso try versus Toulouse. Usually a centre, De Luca has previously played on the wing and as a full-back. De Luca’s debut came against France in the 2008 Six Nations. To date, De Luca has won thirty eight Scotland caps and has registered one try.

In July 2016, Wasps confirmed to have signed the 32-year-old on a short-term contract from Biarritz.

After more than a decade playing at the highest level, including 43 caps for Scotland, the Scotland international centre decided the time will be right to hang up his boots and embark on a new career in June 2017.
