The destructive ball-carrying number 8 joined London Wasps for the 2013-14 season after spells with Ospreys, Glasgow and Rotherham Titans as well as 25 appearances for Swansea RFC in 2010-11 where he scored 5 tries. Pitman also has New Zealand provincial experience having had a spell with Taranaki during the summer of 2009. He joined the Scarlets from Aviva Premiership side Wasps.He made 26 appearances in his debut season with the Scarlets and the powerful, ball-carrying giant scored some crucial tries that contributed towards important wins over both Ulster and Leinster.
After leaving Scarlets in 2017, he moved to English Championship side Jersey Reds.
