Christie joined the Black Ferns in 2023
following his success achieved with Matatū
and Canterbury National Provincial teams.
Christie was part of the transformation
that saw Matatū go from being challenged
in pre-season to winning the Sky Super
Rugby Aupiki competition. In 2022 he
was named as Assistant Coach for the
New Zealand Under 18 Barbarians squad.
His creative and innovative style that
brings the best out of players enhances
the mix of coaches we have.
