It is hard to believe Janse van Rensburg only turned to XV’s full time after
rugby resumed post-Covid in 2021. Before that, she played for South Africa
at the Touch Rugby World Cup, toured France in 2016 with the Springbok
Women’s Sevens, had a stint in New Zealand in 2019 with the Mount
Maunganui Marlins and was appointed rugby development manager at the
University of Pretoria. She hit the straps immediately in XV’s and currently are
the leading points’ scorer in the history of the Springbok Women game and
as such, the only women’s player to have scored 200 test points in the green
and gold ever. She also slotted the only dropped goal in Springbok Women
test history and kicked a record eight out of eight conversions against Spain
at Ellis Park in 2022. A brief return to sevens rugby resulted in becoming an
Olympian as she was a member of the Springbok Women’s Sevens team
at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Janse van Rensburg also models the Boerboel
clothing range and holds two post graduate qualifications in Education and
Sports Management, both from the University of Pretoria.
