Logan Asplin is a New Zealand–born rugby union coach and was announced in August 2025 as the Head Coach of the senior men’s XVs side of Hong Kong China Rugby.
Before moving overseas, Asplin was involved in school-level rugby: he coached at Hamilton Boys' High School (in New Zealand). There he had significant success: under his guidance, the school side won five out of the last six regional titles while he was their manager/coach.
In addition to school rugby, he also coached age-grade representative teams: he was involved with the under-18 setup (including sevens) and the under-18 side for the Waikato Chiefs.
In 2022, Asplin relocated with his family from Hamilton, New Zealand to Hong Kong to take up a role as Club Coaching Officer (head coach) with Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC).
At HKFC, he coached the men’s club side in the local Premiership league, delivering strong results: during his first three seasons, the club secured three Premiership League wins and two Premiership Grand Championship titles under his leadership
