The reputation of Charlie as one of the premier looseheads in the world
game started at the Rugby World Cup in 2022, where she was a bolter
selection for the starting team in the tournament’s opening game against
France, having only played twice off the bench, but delivering a world
class performance. Since then, her impeccable technique, power and
knowledge of the laws has earned her a well-deserved reputation as one
of the top props currently playing. Charlie is now the preferred choice
in the Bok Women set-up and has not disappointed the coaches who
selected her, nor the growing number of supporters who understand and
appreciate her often unheralded impact on the game. In recent seasons,
she moved to the professional Bulls Daisies set-up, where the full-time
programme further enhanced her abilities to dominate opponents.
