An extremely skilful centre, Hewitt made his Cardiff debut in the 2004-2005 season after an extremely impressive showing for the Welsh under 21 Grand Slam winning side. Hewitt’s debut season for Cardiff was impressive-crossing the line three times in fifteen appearances. Hewitt had the honour of captaining his country in the 2006 IRB under 21 World Championships in France
