The son of former Tigers, England and Lions loosehead prop Graham, it is no surprise Jack is also a front-rower and he earned a place in the Tigers’ Development squad during 2019/20.
The route from junior rugby in Hinckley to the Leicester Tigers has been a successful one over many years, with Ollie Smith, Sam Vesty and Sam Harrison just a few of the notable players to take that route in the game.
Jack Rowntree began playing rugby in the under-8s age-group at Hinckley RFC and attended Hastings High School in the town as he joined the Developing Player Programme at Tigers.
