Additional fixtures announced in Bath Rugby calendar

Bath Rugby is pleased to confirm TWO additional fixtures in the club’s calendar, welcoming Gloucester Rugby and Leinster Rugby to The Rec.

Seeing a replay of what is one of Bath Rugby’s fiercest battles, The Rec will host Gloucester Rugby in a Foundation Day match, played on Saturday 9 March.

Taking place the week after, the Blue, Black and White will also welcome Irish giants, Leinster, to play a Friday night fixture on St Patrick’s Day weekend.

With the club not taking to the turf of The Rec until 24 March when we welcome Sale Sharks in the Round 13 of the Premiership, the two additional fixtures will give supporters another reason to head to the home of Bath Rugby.

The rivalry between Bath Rugby and Gloucester Rugby is one steeped in history, with both sides having stormed to huge victories in the past.

Having beaten the Cherry & Whites twice in the Premiership season so far, the visitors will be looking for revenge come Saturday 9 March.

In just six days between the two fixtures, Johann van Graan’s old coaching teammate, Jacques Nienaber, brings his Leinster men to The Rec in a clash of the former Springboks coaching partners.

After the Premiership league lost London Irish ahead of the commencement of the 2023/24 season, both the additional fixture games will be included for Full and Lite Season Ticket Holders.

Tickets will go on sale to Season Ticket Holders Tuesday 23 January at 10am, Members Thursday 25 January at 10am and General Sale Monday 29 January at 10am, with prices starting from £5 to watch Bath Rugby v Gloucester and £10 to watch Bath Rugby v Leinster. Junior tickets will be £5.
