All Blacks set for two additional end-of-year tour tests - report

The All Blacks could face off against a surprise opponent on their end-of-year tour this year.

The New Zealand Herald reports that the All Blacks could face Wales and the United States in money-spinning tests in October.

New Zealand Rugby are reportedly looking to face the USA at a yet-to-be-determined venue on October 23 with the Herald statignt that the new 70,000-seat Allegiant Stadium, the home ground of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, has been presented as a possible venue.

The All Blacks XV team, a feeder side to the top-tier national team, could be used to face the USA Eagles after COVID-19 prevented the side from debuting last year.

The clash against Wales is set to take place in Cardiff a week later on October 30. It is reported that the two matches against the USA and Wales, which sit outside World Rugby’s designated test windows, could earn NZR an extra $2-3 million per test.

New Zealand are also set to face France, Italy and Ireland during their end of year tour with the two additional tests taking place outside the test window.
