Deon Davids squashes Springbok rumours

Southern Kings coach Deon Davids has squashed rumours suggesting that he would take over the Springbok head coach role from Allister Coetzee.

In an interview with SARugbymag.co.za Davids says he has not spoken at all to SA Rugby director of rugby Rassie Erasmus.

'I have not been in contact with him at all. I can say that categorically,' Davids told SARugbymag.co.za when asked about the possibility of joining Erasmus' team. 'My only focus up to now has been doing my work here [at the Kings].'

It now looks as if Erasmus himself will coach the team, with Jacques Nienaber, Pieter de Villiers and Mzwandile Stick as his assistants.
