Glenn Moore re-appointed as Black Ferns Head Coach

Women’s World Cup-winning Head Coach Glenn Moore will continue his role with the Black Ferns in 2018 and 2019, New Zealand Rugby announced today.

Moore has an enviable record with the team since his appointment at the end of 2015, with 15 wins and just one loss from 16 Test matches and a 2017 World Cup win.

Moore said despite the team’s recent success and impressive record of five World Cup wins, there’s no time for complacency.

“It’s an important phase for the Black Ferns as other countries are getting better and better. We saw that first-hand in Ireland.

“We’ll have some continuity in the team going into this year but in some cases there’ll be some rebuilding going on too. We need to keep progressing forward and I
expect we’ll see some new faces this year.

"It’s an exciting time for women’s rugby.”

Moore was recently named Coach of the Year at the 2017 ASB Rugby Awards and is nominated for ASB Coach of the Year at the Halberg Awards.
