Gloucester-Hartpury confirms re-signings ahead of the new season

Siwan Lillicrap 

Siwan Lillicrap has become Gloucester-Hartpury’s latest signing with the Wales captain pledging her future to the Cherry and Whites.

Lillicrap was the first female rugby player to be given a professional contract by the WRU and the backrower has gone on to captain the side and make 45 appearances for her country.

Alex Matthews


Gloucester-Hartpury have strengthened their stocks with the signing of England international Alex Matthews who joins from Worcester Warriors.


The 28-year-old flanker burst onto the international scene in 2011 and was one of the youngest members to lift the Rugby World Cup trophy in 2014.

She has gone on to make 50 appearances for her country, featuring in the sevens side as well where she was voted the RPA Women’s Sevens Player of the Year in 2018.

Zoe Aldcroft

   
   

World Rugby Player of the Year, Zoe Aldcroft, has re-signed with the Cherry and Whites.

The England international has been part of the Red Roses’ 23 game winning streak and is one of the biggest names in the women’s game.

A valuable asset to Gloucester-Hartpury, Aldcroft is a key leader within Sean Lynn’s squad and the Head Coach is thrilled to have retained her services.

Maud Muir

England international prop Maud Muir joins from Wasps.

Muir began playing rugby in Oxford and made her way through the England age grade sides before being named in the 2021 Red Roses squad for the Six Nations.

Just 20-years-old Muir has massive potential and will continue to develop and progress in her time as a Cherry and White player.
