Eagles through to quarter-final on first day in Las Vegas

There were jubilant scenes at the HSBC
Sevens World Series event in Las Vegas on Saturday as the United
States booked their first semi-final berth since the 2010 with a 20-0 win
over regional rivals Canada.

However, the hosts will face a stiff challenge next on Sunday in New Zealand,
the winners from last weekend's Wellington event who thumped Australia 28-7
in their quarter-final.
