Koroibete misses son's birth for Wallabies' test

One of the stand-out performers for the Wallabies in their last-gasp defeat of France, Marika Koroibete has revealed that he missed the birth of his son to be present on the pitch, according to a report in thewest.com.au.
It took Australia 83 minutes to snatch victory from a very plucky Les Bleus second-string side on Wednesday and the former would have been very grateful for the services of the robust winger who, evidently, made a significant sacrifice to be involved.
While Koroibete was dishing it out against the French, his partner, Emma, was in labour in Melbourne.
Koroibete expressed his emotions on social media with the following note:

"How lucky I am to have strong wife like you to endure the pain and all the labour stuff by yourself," he wrote.
"I asked you if you want me to come and be with you and you said it's okay after the game then you come.
"I'm super proud of you how you handled the labour hrs on your own.
"Thank you Covid for closing the boarders (sic) otherwise bring our parents over. Anyway we want welcome baby boy Immanuel Lester Koroibete to this world."
