Leinster succombed to an emphatic defeat at the hands of the Lions earlier toady in Johannesburg. The loss see's the second placed Glasgow Warriors close in on top spot after their win over the Sharks last night. 

A 32 point blow out is how it ended for the Irish outfit as a 44-12 los was enough to send them back to the drawing board. Lets a take a quick look at the numbers from the fixture:

Lions left-wing Edwill van der Merwe gained the most metres on the day with 98, a massive 38 meteres more than teammate and opposite number Richard Kriel who had 60. 

Lions flanker Emmanuel Tshituka along with Leinster inside centre Charlie Ngatai, beat the most defenders on the day with 7, two ahead of Edwill van der Merwe.

Man of the Match Tshituka along with Leinster fullback Ciaran Frawley made the most carriess on the night completing 9. Speaking of 9, Leinster Scrum-half Luke McGarth completed a mammoth 104 passes, almost trippling his closest competitor.

Lions were resolute on defense with 5 of their player reaching double digit tackle numbers. Louw lead the pack with 18, followed by scrum-half Morne van den Berg, Emanuel Tshituka (15), Ruan Delport (15), Ruan Dreyer (11).
