Michael Young Joins Toulon as World Cup Joker

The Rugby Club Toulonnais is pleased to formalize the arrival of the experienced English scrum half: Michael Young, as Joker World Cup.


Michael Young began his professional career with the Newcastle Falcons in 2008. After 3 seasons, he joined Leicester where he won the Premiership, before heading to Bath.

The scrum half announced his return to his roots in 2015 where he reunited with legend Jonny Wilkinson and played more than 100 matches with the Black and Whites.

“ A club player, Michael is a fine strategist and a good finisher. Lively, he is able to weigh around the rucks. He will also bring all his experience to the group. Having been captain of Newcastle on several occasions and in particular at the end of last season, in the absence of Will Welch. explains Pierre Mignoni, Rugby Director of the Rugby Club Toulonnais.
