Munster to confirm Simon Zebo return - report

Former Ireland winger Simon Zebo has agreed a move back to his home club Munster, according to a report by Nik Simon in the Daily Mail.

Zebo's contract with Racing 92 expires at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to London Irish but has reportedly agreed to return to Thomond Park.

Sportsmail reports that the move could be announced this week.

Zebo has not played for Ireland since 2017, but a move back to Munster could move him back into contention for Ireland’s plans for the 2023 World Cup and could feature as soon as the June internationals.

The 31-year-old has been in fine form for Racing 92 recently but with the likes of Wallaby Kurtley Beale and Los Puma Emiliano Boffelli on the clubs books, Zebo's exit seemed likely.

Zebo missed Racing 92's Champions Cup quarter-final against Bordeaux with Boffelli starting at fullback with Beale at inside centre.
