Nick Champion de Crespigny on rugby in France

Nick Champion de Crespigny spoke on the Le French Rugby Podcast about rugby in France
de Crespigny spoke about Super Rugby, his French connection and the Wallabies.
He played for the Rebels and Waratahs but never played Super Rugby and then Pierre-Henry Broncon asked him to come over to France.
In his first season(2022) he started almost every game for Castres in the Top 14. He mentiones that the French game suits him. Castres went on to reach the final in 2022 but lost out to Montpellier.
He goes on to say that the teams in the Top 14 is very passionate and how close they are to each other.
He says his timing in Australia was very challenging as Micheal Hooper was the starting flanker at the time.
Rugby Australia has made contact with de Crespigny last year but he was still under contract and this year they did make contact again but with the Rebels folding and the amount of teams decreasing he says the plans to go back to Australia is on hold for now.
The dream is still to play for Australia
