Randall's road could lead to England or Wales

A figurative tug-of-war between England and Wales is on the horizon as far as Bristol scrumhalf Harry Randall is concerned.

The 22 year old was in top form on Friday night against Bordeaux as the Bears cemented their place in the Challenge Cup final on the 16th of October.

Randall is eligible to represent both England and Wales, the former through birth and the latter through having lived ten consecutive years in Wales from the age of four which, according to World Rugby Regulation 8, qualifies him to play for that country.

With Tomos Williams currently on the injury list, Wales head coach Wayne Pivac could very well offer Randall the chance to pull the famous red jersey over his head, but England coach Eddie Jones may have other ideas.

Randall has represented England U18 and U20 in the past and has made quite a name for himself as a sniping and intelligent scrumhalf.

He has said that he considers himself English, however, should he be overlooked by Jones, he is open to the prospect of playing for the country in which he grew up.
