Selection crisis for Pivac as All Black clash looms

Selection crisis for Pivac as All Black clash looms

Wales face a tough ask when they face New Zealand in the first fixture of their autumn internationals on October 30th. Now, making the task even tougher is the fact that the WRU have also scheduled the game outside of the Test window which has created a significant headache for Wayne Pivac.

Due to their club commitments in the English Premiership, Dan Biggar, Callum Sheedy, Louis Rees-Zammit and Taulupe Faletau will be unavailable for selection for the All Black Test.

To rub salt in the wound, there are still long-term injuries to stalwarts such as Justin Tipuric, Leigh Halfpenny and George North.

The Premiership contingent will, however, be available for selection when Wales take on the Springboks the following week.
