Varsity Sevens: Maties fall short

UFS-Kovsies emerged as the major winners on Day Two of the Varsity Sevens tournament at Villagers FC as they stormed to top of the log after finishing the day unbeaten.


They will be joined in the semifinals by UJ, UP-Tuks and NWU-Pukke, with the Potchefstroom side leaving it to their final match to claim the last semifinal spot.


Kovsies claimed victories over WSU, Pukke, UCT and UFH to secure a semifinal against NWU-Pukke students - who snuck into fourth place in the final match of the day.
