Aled Summerhill has been playing with the Cardiff Blues since he was 16 where eventually he earned a professional contract making his full debut in the 2014/15 season. Summerhill has also represented Wales at U'18's level.
In October 2015, Aled signed a new contract with the Blues to stay at the capital region until at least 2018.
As of the 2018/2019 Champions Cup, Summerhill has had 5 European Cups appearances scoring 1 try and 5 points.
