If that was tmo, even if it went for Australia, which it clearly wouldn't have, I would have happily accepted a loss if we actually had away a penalty.

No one deserves anything, one has to win, and you win scoring points.
However, although the referee's help, players need to have the ability to make points.

I watched it as a neutral leaning towards a Scottish win. Seemed like a fair penalty to me. The Scottish guy touched it. Then an Australian and then another Scotsman. The offside out weighs the knock on advantage to Australia. Awarding the penalty was correct.
