England have won their last 22 matches against Ireland when leading at halftime - the last time they suffered defeat to Ireland after holding the lead at the break was in 1983.

England take a 12-0 lead over Ireland into halftime. After a relatively tight opening 15 minutes, Jonny May crossed for two tries for England in quick succession to see the hosts up 12-0 midway through the half. Both sides had further opportunities for points but were kept out as England have control at the break.
