Full time, and France come away with a win that will do wonders for their confidence. Ireland lead 9-3 at the break after some good Sexton place kicking, but the second have was reduced to a turgid war of attrition. Neither side could get any attacking play going, and the game really boiled down to a series of scrums on the Irish 5m line. After a number of resets and French penalties the Irish survived, only to see the ball go wide to Medard to go over. Guirado named MOTM, in what was in truth, a poor match of rugby.
