The rain has finally ceased and the game begins to loosen up! Positive play from both sides in the early minutes of the second half

TRY BORDEAUX. Bordeaux use Up and Under tactics off a free kick to pile pressure on Grenoble inside their own 22. The hosts scramble poorly and lose the ball in a ruck 7 metres from their own line. A simple pass from Saubusse to Charles Brousse allows for the centre to cross the white wash with relative ease!

Half time here and it is the home side that hold a slight lead at 9 points to 6. In what has been a relatively dull 40 minutes, the only points have come from the boots of Courrent and Saubusse. Poor handling conditions have kept try opportunities to a minimum, although there have been one or two moments of excellent offensive play to brighten things up. Grenoble dominated the first 15 to 20 minutes but Bordeaux were a stronger outfit in the second quarter and we witnessed one or two moments of brilliance from them. Still very much all to play for but if the rain continues so too will this dog fight. It could possibly come down to who of the two kickers will be the most accurate this evening.
