Brad Shields does not release the player on the ground and gives a penalty away. Rebels opt to have a shot at poles from far out.

The Hurricanes put major pressure on the Rebels tryline, but a fantastic steal from Toby Smith wins the Rebels a penalty.

After a number of resets, the ref is forced to make a decision and it is the Hurricanes who win the penalty, as the Rebels front row collapsed.

The teams are making their way onto the field.

Hello and welcome to today's coverage of the Hurricanes vs the Rebels. The Hurricanes are this years surprise package. The in-form side sits on top of the table with 5 wins from 5, but with the decision to rest a number of All Black players this week, they risk ruining their unbeaten streak and losing momentum. The Rebels come off a heartbreaking loss to the Lions and will look back on the match as one that got away. Although the Hurricanes have historically beaten the Rebels comfortably, the Rebels have earned the title of "Giant Killers" and certainly should not be written off.
