The host country, Japan, take on Samoa today in this Pool A match. Japan have done well so far having won both their games so far and they beat the Ireland giants last week making them the only tea in Pool A to have won their first 2 games. Samoa have won one of their games and will be hoping to knock Japan off their winning streak. My name is Ted Barber and I will be giving you live updates.

If Ed Fidow can repeat his two-try feat from the Russia match, he will become the second most prolific try-scorer for Samoa at Rugby World Cups with four tries.

Tusi Pisi starts on the bench but with 57 points in World Cups to his name, he can overtake current Samoa RWC leading points scorer Silao Leaega (62) if he scores six points.

Samoa have made six changes to their starting line-up from their 34-0 loss to Scotland. Jordan Lay, Seilala Lam, Piula Faasalele and Ulupano Seuteni all make their first starts of RWC 2019. Ah See Tuala starts for the first time and makes his first appearance in a match-day 23.
