#GOTW - New Zealand 7 - 35 South Africa

It could never have been written. The stage was set and the stakes were high, at a neutral venue known as at the very home of rugby itself. Test rugby's gretest rivalry betwen the All blacks and the Springboks saw South Africa make history claiming their biggest win against Ne Zealand, submitting the All Blacks to a 35-7 thrashing in front of a sold out crowd at Twickenham.

This victory for the Springboks not only see's them jump from fourth to second place on the World Rugby rankings, this also marked their biggest win over their southern hemisphere rivals leaving a major exclamation point in their final warm-up game before commencing the defense of their title.

The All blacks had no answers for the South Africans, as they were kept scoreless at the half contrastingly similar to the Rugby Championship fixture in just a few weeks ago.

Damian Willemse claimed man of the match honours, however the Canan Moodie test at thirteen was one of the key areas of interest going into the fixture, alongside an exciting Andre Esterhuizen.

A near-perfect performance in what was his best game in a Springboks jersey Franco Mostert could have easily been awarded the player of the match gong. Mostert made vital steals to win the ball and dominated the breakdown. There may have been doubts about his name but those were swept away.

Needless to say, it is obvious for many reasons why this was our Game of The Week.
